Yes, it’s Thanksgiving tomorrow(or maybe today) and I thought I’d offer some inoffensive ideas for binge streaming to go with all the binge eating!
Netflix has the new season of The Great British Baking Show, the 6th season, with Mel Giedroyc, Sue Perkins and Mary Berry. That’s 10 episodes, plus the previous 5 seasons, too, enough cooking to get you well into Friday or Saturday, without any football! And no politics, too. Netflix also offers Dogs, which I mentioned last week, six episodes of darn cute and beautiful animals, though they may make you tear up, they include some heartrending stories, for both the dogs and the humans who love them. And everyone will love these stories, even cat lovers like me. Another bingeable show on Netflix is Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat, a wildly popular cooking show starring Samin Nosrat. She travels around the world, sampling cooking from each of the flavors, salt, etc. And she gives you inspiration for your big cooking day, plus ideas and tips, too. And, Netflix has Death in Paradise, if you absolutely have to have a mystery, and there are no kids watching. That’s seven seasons of a British detective, sent the Caribbean, to investigate crime and , as it turns out, a murder every episode. And no one does murder like the British. But it’s not for the kiddos, as it’s rated TV-14. And, finally, if you need some horror and sci-fi, even on Thanksgiving, Netflix offers The Twilight Zone, 4 seasons of it, and some of the best episodes available, starting with Season 1 and somehow ending with Season 5(they missed Season 4)!
So binge this Thanksgiving on great television, as well as delectable food! Enjoy your holiday!
